At Dental Arts, Drs. Elias, Opdahl, and Bowen provide a unique personal touch to provide the most advanced dentistry available. Through their advanced training and accreditation you can rest assured that you will receive the best care available with a warm, gentle touch in a painless setting.
Dr. Elias is a native of the Independence area. He graduated with honors from the University of Missouri, School of Dentistry in 1979. He became accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in 1989 and was accepted for membership to the American Society of Dental Aesthetics (based in New York) in 1989. He has taught cosmetics throughout the United States and Canada. Dr. Elias and his wife Sharon have 4 children and 3 grandsons.
Dr. Opdahl was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. He attended the University of Northern Iowa and received his BA in science. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1994 with honors. He became the youngest doctor to receive his accreditation by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He has served as President and VP of the Pankey-Dawson Heart of America Study Club. He has worked in a hospital and has received advanced training in dental implants, oral surgery, endodontics, and aesthetic and restorative dentistry.
Dr. Bowen is a native of the Independence area. He attended the University of Missouri, School of Dentistry where he graduated with honors. He received advanced training in Oral Surgery, Endodontics, and Restorative Dentistry. He was accepted for membership to the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in 2007. He has received advanced training at the Dawson Academy in restorative dentistry and treating T.M.J (bite) disorders. Dr. Bowen and his wife Christine have 2 children.
